This is a draft template for a demo project — have a lawyer review it before treating it as your real policy.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: [add date when you publish this]
This policy explains what information Pixel's collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It's a starting template — replace the bracketed notes and have a lawyer review it before relying on it for a real, live product.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text) or sign-in details from a provider like Google.
- Content you upload: images/footage you submit as a contributor, along with title, category, and pricing you set.
- Purchase information: what you've licensed and which license tier — payment card details are handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe) and never stored on our own servers.
- Usage data: basic technical information like browser type and pages visited, typically collected automatically by any web server.
How we use it
- To operate your account, process licenses, and deliver purchased files
- To pay contributors their share of sales
- To respond to support requests and enforce our terms (including account reports)
- To improve the site and fix problems
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information to third parties.
- We don't display your password to anyone, including our own staff — it's never stored in a readable form.
Third-party services
We use third-party services to run Pixel's, including a payment processor (Stripe) for checkout and, if enabled, a sign-in provider (e.g. Google) for authentication. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes on our behalf.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your cart. [Add specifics once your real cookie/analytics setup is finalized.]
Your choices
- You can update or delete your account information by contacting support.
- You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- [Add region-specific rights here — e.g. GDPR/CCPA — once you know which apply to your users.]
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change and note the date at the top.
